E-PORTFOLIO
What is an ePortfolio?
According to the University of Queensland (What Is an ePortfolio?, 2017), an ePortfolio is a dynamic digital or online tool that serves as a recorder, saver, and archive for each learner's learning and reflection activities.
An e-portfolio can serve as a planning tool for future experiences and requirements in professional development, as well as a showcase for improvement on both a personal and professional level. It also serves as an example of evidence-based practice.
Student academic use of ePortfolio
- Learners may upload an assessment from within the ePortfolio that shows competency against learning outcomes, learning objectives, and/or finish attributes;
- Learners obtain feedback from inside their e-portfolio on uploaded assessment items and on advancement towards ability against learning outcomes, learning objectives, and/or graduate attributes;
- Students can exhibit their learning through summative assessment evidence, reflection, discussion, and assessment activities in their e-portfolios.
- Pupils can examine and consider how their learning has progressed over time, inside a program, or across several programs.
- Students can learn how to reflect on their experiences and activities.
